Hodgdon CFE223 is a relatively new rifle propellant developed by Hodgdon specifically for the 5.56x45mm NATO, 223 Remington and many other varmint cartridges. The propellant’s burn speed falls between that of Varget and BL-C2, making it perfect for benchrest or varmint loads in such cartridges as the 204 Ruger, 223 Remington and 22-250 Remington. As with other spherical propellants of this category, CFE223 meter very easily through powder measures.
